Many countries are not equipped to cope with natural disasters affecting the water systems. When these occur, our Oasis water purification tablets can be used to make water sterile and safe to drink. Our tablets are used globally by charities in areas hit by natural disasters and also where water sanitation is of poor standard. The range can also be used in the outdoor market by travellers and trekkers.
While much work has been done to increase safe supply of water in low water quality areas such as Africa, numerous studies have shown that safe supply alone is not enough. Many samples from households using these ‘safe' sources have been found to be contaminated. This is because the quality of water deteriorates significantly from collection to point of use. Household intervention and methods such as filtration and chlorination have been recommended to prevent this.
