![]() Hydrachem is a quality registered firm to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 accredited by the world’s leading Inspection, Verification, Testing and Certification company, SGS. Certificate number GB05/65454. The company’s Quality Management System is annually audited by SGS. In addition, Hydrachem holds British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standards Consumer Products Certification, Certificate GB05/65453, also granted by SGS. The Company is audited against BRC standards on a yearly basis. Hydrachem Ltd holds E. U. Medicinal Products Manufacturer Licence complying with the GMP Directive 91/356/EEC granted by the UK Medicines and Healthcare Product Regulatory Agency (MHRA). Oasis and Biospot tablets have been approved by the Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI), under Regulation 25 (1) of the Water Industry Act 1991: section 69, Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 1989 and amendment regulations 1991 as a disinfectant of water for emergency use. Oasis is also approved by DWI under the above regulations for use as a disinfectant for waterworks apparatus, distribution pipes and service reservoirs. Biospot has been approved by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) as disinfectant under The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 2007 for the purposes of the Animal Health Act 1981. Hydrachem’s tablets microbicidal activity claims are supported by European Standard test methods as defined by BS EN Standard 14885:2006 Chemical disinfectants and antiseptics- Application of European Standards for chemical disinfectant and antiseptics. The active ingredient of Hydrachem’s tablets Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate Anhydrous ( also known as Troclosene Sodium and NaDCC) has been Identified and Notified to the European Chemical Bureau and added to the list of Identified/ Notified substances ( L307/44 Official Journal of the European Union 24.11.2003). Troclosene Sodium dossier for product type 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11, 12 has been submitted for evaluation in the UK and is currently under the review program ( The Fifth Review Regulation 1451/2007/EC -L325/45 Official Journal of the European 11.12.2007) Hydrachem’s suppliers of NaDCC are members of the Ad Hoc Committee of Chlorinated Isocyanurates, supporting Troclosene Sodium and Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate Dihydrate throughout the European Biocidal Product Directive (BPD). Hydrachem is committed to support its product throughout the BPD, apply for product authorisation and carry out any further pertinent studies on finished products if and when required. |
